Meet Dr. Steve Mahler
For the past 33 years, I have proudly served Western Wisconsin as a General Dentist. It has been rewarding to grow up here, then to assist family, friends, neighbors and the community with their dental health needs. I enjoyed working with my father from 1985 – 95 and transitioning to ownership of his practice that originated in 1961. Now, I look forward to combining my expertise with the Regis Court Dental Associates team to make this a great dental experience for area patients.
Education and Experience
I grew up in Eau Claire and attended Memorial High School before taking on college at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. At the UW, I played baseball from 1977 – 1980 while earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in zoology. In 1981, I started the four year General Dental program at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry graduating in June 1985. My next step was joining my father, Dr. H.E. “Buzz” Mahler at 605 E. Clairemont Ave, where I have practiced since.
Outside of the Office
I have been very active with UW – Madison athletics as a part of the “W” Club. I also attend most home football and basketball games. I am an outdoor enthusiast with particular interest in golf and lake activities. Travel is another hobby that keeps me warm during the frigid Wisconsin winters.
I have been married since 1988 to Heidi (also an Eau Claire native) who was a teacher in the Eau Claire School District from 1982 – 2015 before retiring to concentrate on helping people with integrative health. We have two children, Stephanie who lives in Hudson and Scott residing in Scottsdale, Arizona.
I look forward to the coming years and all the challenges they will bring!
